COME GIOCARE UN SUPER DRIVE - HOW TO HIT A POWER DRAW WITH A DRIVER BY GOLF DIGEST

Godimento over the top!!!

Ecco come:
a) Grip "forte"

Buon golf!!!

I want absolutely hit the driver longer and straighter, as I never done.

Why? What a question, you know it very well...
1) Because to have a second shorter shot is better, but
2) The main reason is because, when it happens, it's like to feel pure power coming from the inside and coming out from the club head to the ball. Pleasure over the top!!!

So why don't we listen the advices from Anna Rawson by Golf Digest on how to hit a super draw with the driver?
Here the tips:
a) Strong grip
b) Ball up on the tee in front of the left foot
c) Stance closed, pointing a little bit to the right

Happy golf!!!

DOVE GIOCARE A GOLF IN ITALIA. WHERE TO PLAY GOLF IN ITALY - GC I GIRASOLI

Consigliato!!!

In Piedmont, fantastic area at north west Italy, there are many amazing golf courses.
Closed to Turin, at Carmagnola, there is the GC I Girasoli an informal golf club perfect to play golf, spend some quality time with friends or, if you have more days, be guests of the hotel on site, originally an old farmhouse.

A key factor is the restaurant, tavern style, synonymous of good italian food, to enjoy typical dishes from the region, run by young, nice and friendly guys. Excellent for a fast lunch, is also superb for a longer dinner, after a day of golf.

The course: 18 holes, par 71. The fairways are natural and qualitative, the green are very good, on different levels and to walk at the next hole with just 2 putts is a good result.
Water is pretty everywhere and sometimes you have to accept to loose the ball.

The symbol holes of the I Girasoli are the 6, called "The island", a 450 mt. par 5 that ends on a green surrounded by the water. Good luck!!!
The other one is the 9, a 150 mt. par 3 called "The ducks", with a lake that covers all the distance and constrains to fly all the distance to land on the green...scaring hole!!!

The course is on the hills, the landscape around is amazing, but when you play, it's better to stay concentrated.
The overall perception of the holes is top, challenging and you have to play consistently to score low.

The club house has a little pro shop, with all the necessary, a lady welcomes you in the right way and the pool, in front of the restaurant, is a added value.

Recommended!!!

APPROCCIO A CORRERE - BUMP AND RUN BY CALLAWAY

Ho capito!!! Sono scarso, capita solo a me.
Vabbè, voglio allenare l'altra soluzione, l'approccio a correre o, come dicono i pro, il bump and run.
Buon golf!!!

I'm short to the green, some meters. In front of me the flag, about 15 meters and I have no obstacles to fly. Only the fairway between me and the target.
Do I select the 56 degrees to fly everything to land soft (top player shot) or do I choose a 7 iron, low and short fly with a lot of roll closed to the hole?
What a question!!! Of course I select the hero shot, the 56 degrees and...ooopppss...3 meters short, but my ego is safe, I've tried a Mickelson shot style (no success).

Understood!!! I'm not so good, it happens only to me.
Ok, I have to train the other solution, the bump and run with the 7 iron.

Stuart Appleby shows us how to do it, turning well the shoulders, maintaining the triangle during the swing.
Happy golf!!!

UN GRIP PIU' RILASSATO - LOOSEN UP YOUR GRIP BY GOLF DIGEST

Succede soprattutto in campo.

Buon golf!!!

It happens often on the golf course. Tension, being afraid to do a mistake. Too much time to find the correct set up...and the grip becomes too tight...

BUM and the ball goes to the right, sometimes to the left...but not straight.
Jason Guss by Golf Digest helps us with the 10 balls drill, to relax our grip.
Happy golf!!!

COME GIOCARE UNO STINGER - HOW TO HIT A LOW STINGER BY GOLF DIGEST

Come realizzarlo:
1) Tee basso
2) Posizione della palla leggermente indietro
3) Aprire lo stance poco più del normale
4) Allineare le linee del corpo a sinistra rispetto all'obiettivo
5) Back swing a tre-quarti

Sembra facile, no?
Buon golf!!!

Now it's time to talk about Sexy Shots, those shots we all would like to do, but many times we don't know how.

It's a shot we have seen many times on TV, often played by Tiger Woods.
We're talking about the Stinger, a low shot with a long iron as the 4 or an ibrid, shown by Blair O'Neil and Golf Digest.

How to do it:
1) Lower the tee
2) Ball rear of stance
3) Open the stance a little bit
4) Body lines left to the target
5) Three-quarter back swing
6) Hands forward the clubhead

Sound easy...maybe!!!
Happy golf!!!

DOVE GIOCARE A GOLF IN ITALIA. WHERE TO PLAY GOLF IN ITALY - CG TORINO

Come dirmi "Benvenuto!!!"

The Italian Open 2013 and 2014, and champions as Francesco and Edoardo Molinari coming from this golf club, could be enough to understand we’re talking about the Circolo Golf Torino, one of the best golf course in Italy.

The place is 20 minutes from Turin, in the famous Parco La Mandria, where the amazing Reggia di Venaria, turistic hotspot in the area, stands.
The background is designed by mother nature and the Alps play the major role.
The course is a 36 holes, in the middle of a ancient forest, with a special attention to the natural balance of the ecosystem.

Trying the blue course, the Italian Open one (August the 28 - 31), you notice immediately the top quality fairways, practically perfect. You better shot there, because the rough is quite punitive.
In fact, at the hole 1, tee-shot on the right and double bogey, just to say me welcome.

Doesn’t matter, it’s the Italian Open course, first time here and I’m not expecting to play “the Molinari way”.
The greens are really challenging, on different levels and you need some holes to adapt it.

The holes come in a “lunar” silence and between the shots happens to meet some squirrels that seems are watching you shaking their heads after a fat shot or a slice.
Sometimes, between the trees, the Alps pop up and the day is so sunny, that seems to touch them with one hand.

The Torino Golf Club is really the best you can imagine and for this reason it’s, since years, one of the top 5 golf courses in Italy and one of the best in Europe.

Come here to play golf and enjoy the city of Turin for some days.
For accommodations you have many opportunities downtown, but if you want to stay closed to the golf course, check out the Relais Bella Rosina a 4 stars hotel 5 minutes from the course.

A LEZIONE DI FLOP SHOT - FLOP SHOT LESSONS WITH PHIL MICKELSON

Buon golf!!!

Flop shot with the 64 degrees? Not for me please. Here we have a challenge between top players as Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Rickie Fowler e Thomas Bjorn.

Who's the nearest to the pin? I would say Mickelson, but maybe he's not.
Happy golf!!!

DOVE GIOCARE A GOLF IN ITALIA. WHERE TO PLAY GOLF IN ITALY - GC CASTELGANDOLFO

Consigliato!!!

Have you ever played golf in a volcano?
South of Rome, just a few kilometers  from the capital city stands the Castelgandolfo Golf Club, 18-holes course designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior right where thousands of years ago there was a crater.

The Club House is housed in a villa of 600 that, in its simplicity, reveals the essence of nobility without excesses, for a place suitable for special occasions.
The golf course is fun and has to be played carefully, thinking about strategy, avoiding the many natural obstacles and not, like lakes and bunkers, in addition to numerous Pines and Oaks that surround the field in every hole.

The tee shot of hole 1 is a nice way to start: par 4 from the top, overlooking in the front and rear the Club House, with the possibility of having spectators to add a little positive voltage to the first shot.
The holes are tricky and simple at the same time, the fairways are qualitative and the green challenging. The length is not excessive and this allows all levels of player having fun.At the end, but important, the 19th hole, the restaurant: excellent.

If you’re in Rome to visit this fantastic city, spend a day here to play golf is a really good choice.Recommended!!!

GOLF TIP: FADE, DRAW AND STRAIGHT SHOTS - BY GOLF DIGEST

Buon golf!!!

The temptation to play the ball trying to curve it intentionally is something we all have.
We are in the middle of the fairway, second shot and the voice in our mind says "now I'm going to draw the ball...".
Normal to think it, a little less to be able to do it, but this Golf Digest video is really clear.
Maybe next time...my draw will be perfect.

Happy golf!!!

DOVE GIOCARE A GOLF IN ITALIA. WHERE TO PLAY GOLF IN ITALY - GC FEUDO D'ASTI

Consigliato!

Buon golf!!!

In Piedmont there are many famous areas well known for quality food and first class wines as Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Moscato. One of these areas is the Monferrato, closed to Asti, known for history, a relaxing life style  and famous all over the world for food like bagna cauda, truffles, and agnolotti.

In this gorgeous atmosphere, 10 minutes away from Asti, in the heart of the hills of Monferrato, the Golf Club Feudo d'Asti stays with a 18 holes course, designed by Graham Cooke, where the green of the hills meets the blue of the sky.

The course is quite demanding, you have to be consistent, accurate and the athletic preparation can be a factor at the end because of the many hills you walk during the 18 holes.

Among my favorite holes there is the 4, a Par 3 with a rised teeing area, 150 mt from the yellow starters. You have to match a rational choice of the club and the emotion to shot from  on high. At the end...bum and you have to trust your shot.

The hole 7, a Par 5, not very difficult one (hcp 17), is amazing because of the view. The fairway continues to slightly climb down, helping the first shot, and closed to the green, at the left a small lake adds difficulty to the final approach.

Every hole can have a different story, as the 10, a uphill Par 4, where the first shot is blind and you have to shot center left.

It's a golf course to live, interesting, and stimulating for expert golfers and fun for higher handicap.

You can spend some days here, playing golf, enjoying the life style of the Monferrato area, where relax and quality life is a must have.
Happy golf!!!

DOVE GIOCARE A GOLF IN ITALIA. WHERE TO PLAY GOLF IN ITALY - VERSILIA GOLF RESORT

Buon golf!!!

In Italy the Versilia area in Tuscany, well known for towns as Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, is the symbol of vacation, sun, beach and jet set, where many famous people spend their holidays.

In this framework of quality life, between the Tirrenic Sea and Apunane Alps, there's a golf gem: the Versilia Golf Resort. It's a 18 holes course, born in the '90 that offers fun and pleasure for all type of golfers. At a first sight it appears to be an easy golf course:  the ground morphology is flat and you breath "holiday atmosphere".

But form the first hole you understand that there are many secret traps, which oblige all golfers to play consistently to avoid loosing shots without understanding why. The fairways quality is high as well as the greens, not impossible to play but tricky in some pin position. Between the 9th and the 18th holes, you can see the symbol of the club, a pretty big sculpture called "Ray of light", made of white marble, designed by the Japanese artist Kan Yasuda. The club house is modern, and all the amenities are in style with that.

It's a really good experience to spend a day in this golf course,  if you are in this area visiting. Here you can really appreciate the Tuscany life style.
