Snob, elitario, caro, anzi carissimo, per noatleti...
"Si bello, ma adesso che sono giovane faccio altro. Mi dedicherò al golf dopo i 60 anni...quando (e se) andrò in pensione".
Sono più o meno queste le parole che spesso sentiamo abbinate al golf, parlando con amici "no golfisti" o sentendo discorsi sul golf "dall'uomo della strada", giusto?
Diciamo la verità: sullo snob, elitario e caro carissimo, un po' il mondo del golf, se l'è cercata, soprattutto in Italia e prima di togliersi questa etichetta, allenata per decenni, ci vorrà un po' di tempo.
E' anche vero che negli ultimi 10 anni, il golf in Italia è diventato (ad esempio negli USA lo è sempre stato) più "popolare", nel senso che giocare a golf è possibile anche a prezzi accessibili.
L'accesso al "mondo golf", inteso come campo pratica, campi, maestri e attrezzatura, oggi si può fare, con lo stesso impegno economico (a volte meno) di sport come lo sci o il tennis, che sono già considerati "alla portata di molti".
E' chiaro che fare running o nuotare costa meno e si tratta di discipline fantastiche, ma il golf merita di essere portato alla conoscenza "dei molti", perché è veramente il gioco più bello del mondo, si gioca all'aperto, da soli o in compagnia e per tutta la vita, ognuno al suo livello.
Quindi caro amico golfista, appena avrai un po' di tempo, prendi il tuo migliore amico e portalo con te in campo pratica, fallo provare e se, come è capitato a me, avrà la fortuna di far volare una pallina a 40 mt con un ferro 7, sarà un colpo di fulmine e ti sarà grato per il resto della sua vita.

"yes interesting, but now I'm preferring practicing other sports. I'll play golf after, when I'll be over 60...".
Those are more or less the words we often heard about the game of golf, talking with no golfers friends, right?
Let's say the truth: about the snob, elitist and the expansive part, there is something true and to change the stereotype takes some years of different approach.
But it's true that in the last 10 years many things are happened and now the game is more "popular", in the sense that to play golf is more affordable.
The access to world of golf, practice range, golf course, teachers and equipment is easier compared to the past and it can be compared to skiing and play tennis.
Of course running and swimming are less expensive and those are fantastic sport, but the game of golf deserve to be top of mind for the most, because it is truly the most wonderful game in the world, you can play in amazing places, alone or in company and for all your entire life.
So, dear friend, as soon you'll have the opportunity, go to the practice range with your best friend and let him hit some 7 irons and I'm sure, as it happened to me, he'll fall in love with the game of golf and he'll be grateful to you for the rest of his life.
